Spring in London

Spring has finally started to show in London. Bringing with it longer days, blooming trees and a promise of picnics in the parks, sipping glasses of rosรฉ in the sun.

Coming from Australia, in particular, Queensland, where the sub-tropical weather barely dips below 15 degrees in winter, seasons are somewhat of a novelty. The slow transformation, the different flowers and bulbs taking their turn to bloom, all such a source of joy for me – so you will have to forgive my many photos of flowers!

Daffodils and Magnolia seem to have their turn first – at the time of posting they are slowly shrivelling away, giving way to hyacinth tulips and cherry blossoms.
